LIZA MANOLIS

Counsellor (auxiliary)

Liza is a Certified Trauma Services Specialist (ATSS), Registered Social Worker (BCCSW), and Registered Master Practitioner in Clinical Counselling (CPCA).  She has been working in the field of trauma for over twenty years; primarily with children, adults, families, educators, First Nations, and helping professionals. Liza approaches those she works with, and for, with great empathy.  Whether working with individuals or groups, she strives to create a compassionate, inclusive, non-judgmental, flexible and supportive environment for all, where knowledge is shared and resiliency is celebrated.  

 

Liza is certified in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) and was a contracted instructor for the CISM program at the Justice institute of British Columbia.  She is currently an instructor with the Northern Institute of Social Justice at Yukon University, teaching courses in the field of trauma, vicarious trauma, and coping with stress.  Liza is committed to providing non-harmful crisis response and intervention, inclusive and safe spaces, and the promotion of positive mental wellness and health.
