ASILKA MOQE

Special Project Assistant

I am a vibrant and passionate individual who grew up in the beautiful surroundings of Fiji before moving to the Yukon at the age of eight. I consider myself fortunate to have experienced such a rich cultural upbringing that has shaped me into the person I am today.

I would describe myself as determined, creative, positive, and possessing strong leadership qualities. These traits have guided me throughout my life and have led me to achieve many accomplishments that I am proud of. As a summit coordinator and youth leader for the Yukon, I work closely with advocacy organizations to make a difference in the lives of others. One of my proudest moments was being chosen as the youth speaker for poverty week, where I had the opportunity to share my thoughts on this important issue.

In addition to my passion for social change, I also have a deep love for sports. For six years, I played volleyball and traveled across Canada for various competitions. This experience taught me the value of teamwork and perseverance, which I carry with me in all aspects of my life.

In my free time, I love to explore the great outdoors and appreciate what nature has to offer. Whether it's hiking through the wilderness or simply enjoying a peaceful moment by the water, these experiences help me recharge and find inspiration for my next adventure.

If I could travel to the future and share a message with future generations about how to live life, I would tell them never to get too caught up in time. Life moves quickly, and it's essential to take a step back and enjoy everything it has to offer. Cherish each moment, make meaningful connections, and strive to leave a positive impact on the world around you.

As an individual who is passionate about making a difference and living life to the fullest, I am excited to see where my journey will take me next. With determination, creativity, and positivity as my guiding principles, I know that there are no limits to what I can achieve.
