JESSICA DIAKOW
Jessica was born in Edmonton, Alberta, but moved to Whitehorse at the age of 3 and has resided here ever since.
She graduated in 2017 from the University of Lethbridge with a degree in Psychology and Linguistics. In university, Jessica worked with many Speech-Language Pathologists, and got experience working with Alternative and Augmentative Communication, Social Language/Superflex, and worked closely with a professor to put on a Language Development Conference. She has also worked in the field as a therapy assistant for Continuing Care, an educational assistant in the schools, and a daycare worker.
Jessica’s interests and hobbies include hiking, fishing, skating, playing hockey, hunting and travelling whenever she can.
In 2018/2019, Jessica decided to take a break from work/studies and live abroad in New Zealand for a year. She travelled New Zealand in her camper van, and then got a job as an Au Pair. She returned to Yukon in December 2019, after travelling in Thailand and Vietnam.
She is excited to be back in the Yukon and looks forward to her career with Boreal Clinic.
